Reunion Omakase at Morimoto Asia

It all started with an idea to cook with friends before another 15 years flies by! They had a short window between them to get everyone together before CJ leaves to backpack through Africa. The event sold out within 2 hours of a press release from Orlando Weekly, being staged at Morimoto Asia’s sushi bar.

Chef Yuhi Fujinaga has been the chef at Morimoto Asia for the past few years but has spent most of his career in NYC where he at one point has worked with each of the three chefs featured for this event.

“It was a great evening to see the different paths everyone took as chefs and to come together and play off of each others dishes in a spontaneous way. The best parts of the evening beyond cooking together again was seeing all the dots connect between past chefs and friends, since we all kept up with someone from across the globe.” - Chef Mike
